Luxury camping & mobile home holidays in France
Many years ago (50 plus) when I was first introduced to camping in France things were rather Spartan to say the least, and the word luxury was not included in the camping vocabulary.
But thankfully things have changed dramatically over the last few decades and we no longer have to drag hugely heavy canvas tents to wherever we want to erect them, and then spend hours getting the darn thing to finally stay in one place with huge wooden tent pegs and lots of poles, only to find that it leaked in the night and you were the unlucky recipient of a constant drip.
Camping holidays in France, and anywhere else for that matter, are so different nowadays, and even if you are using your own tent it is seriously more luxurious to the ones available when I was a youngster.
Luxury camping is taken for granted these days, and the term “camping” includes mobile homes by the way.
There are tents being used by one innovative holiday company who operate throughout Europe in France, Italy, Spain, Croatia and Holland, which not only have fitted kitchens but complete bathrooms too!
No longer do you have to creep about in the dark on your way to the toilet block, and all thoughts of being set upon by a huge spider on the way can be completely banished from your mind. This is true luxury camping!
