St Aubin sur Mer is in the Calvados region of Normandy and lies on the coast roughly 25 KMs north of Caen. For historians then, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer is located at the eastern end of Nan Sector of Juno Beach, one of the landing sites on D-Day, at the beginning of the Battle of Normandy, during World War II. These days the main industry is in tourism with the area being ideal for family camping and mobile home holidays

The town of St Aubin was created in 1851 by Napoleon 3rd  as a fishing village, and though it suffered some during the last war most of the town is in surprisingly good condition, and both the old and the new parts are quite delightful.

The beach at St Aubin is of fine whitish sand and the beach area has good parking facilities. There are also facilities here for water sports, tennis and horse riding. Market day is on Sundays.

A favourite forchildren is the covered pool with a water chute and slides, and during the high season the parc organises entertainment and outdoor discos for all the family. The nearest beach is 500m away and the flat countryside makes this area ideal for exploring by bike.
