Camping & mobile home holidays in Le Clarys Plage, St Jean Plage, Vendee
One would be hard put to decide where St Jean de Monts ends and St Jean Plage starts, or vice versa, but believe me when I say that they are close, very close.
This is primarily a camping and mobile home holiday resort in the northern part of the Vendee with all the wonderful beaches to swim or surf from, and all the little villages and hamlets in the area to explore.
This is a truly wonderful place for a camping holiday (says the Editor who has stayed there many times) as it has pretty near everything you could wish for apart from the garishness which you would probably find in a Spanish resort. That of course, is one reason for choosing France for your holiday.
Whilst St Jean Plage and St Jean de Monts are holiday resorts, they are not the “kiss me quick” type of resort at all, and if ever they become like that then they will have lost my family and I forever.
The main beach for St Jean Plage is an excellent, clean, expanse of sand with plenty of space for all, so even in high season you won’t feel too crammed together on it.
All types of watersports are available nearby and the bulk of the shops are close by in St Jean de Monts which has a huge promenade with an equally large car park next to it.
Our family has stayed in most of the campsites in this area at one time or another, and to date none of us has found one to be lacking. Camping here is run by professionals!
