Quite a few tour operators promote camping and mobile home holidays in Spain these days, some of which are on the Costa Verde or Green Coast which is also a favourite holiday haunt of the Spanish themselves.

The Costa Verde is easily accessible by driving down the west coast of France and that region of Spain starts as soon as you cross over the French/Spanish border just below Biarritz and St Jean de Luz. The alternative of course is to catch the ferry to either Bilbao or Santander and get off the boat fresh as a daisy and ready to get on with your holiday.
So really this is well within the driving range of what we call self drive holidays, as are the other areas of Spain where camping holidays are popular with the British, namely, the Costa Blanca and Costa Dorada regions down as far as Tarragona on the Mediterranean coast.
Camping in Spain starts as far north as the Spanish border with France near Perpignan, so again, this is an easily achievable drive for the determined holidaymaker with just a tad over two weeks to spare.
