Camping & mobile home holidays in Brem-sur-Mer, Vendee

Brem is one tiny little place lying between St Gilles Croix-de-Vie to the north and les Sables d'Olonne to the south. It is just a tad inland, roughly 1 KM, which makes it not quite "sur Mer" but we are assured that it once was until the shoreline altered as often happens, but it is still well within easy walking distance.

Beaches here are great, just as they are next door at Bretignolles, and it is on the same stretch of sea called the Cote de Lumiere, or the Coast of Light, and certainly the wonderful summertime sunsets in this whole region can vouch for the name.

What is there here? Peace and quiet for one thing, camping holiday sites, water sports forRed Squirrel another, lazing in the sun or walking in the nearby Foret d'Olonne where wildlife abounds and your chances of getting up close and personal with a red squirrel or two are pretty good.

The Foret d'Olonne stretches down to the outskirts of les Sables d'Olonne which boasts excellent shopping facilities and it's own superb beaches. It also has a nationally recognised Zoo with animals and birds free to roam and fly at will.

Further south than les Sables is the smaller town and resort of la Tranche-sur-Mer which is a delightful place to be and has lovely shops, the downside being that the beaches there are not to the same high standard as those of Brem and other nearby resorts.
