Camping & mobile home holidays la Ranolien, Perros-Guirec, northern Brittany

Details of Camping la Ranolien at Perros-Guirec are further down the page.

The town of Perros-Guirec is set on a point of land facing the Côte de Granit Rose, or Pink Granit Coast in northern Brittany about 50 KMs from the ferry port of Roscoff and 11 KM north of Lannion

Perros-Guirec offers an exceptionally beautiful and protected natural site, an unusual landscape where both land and sea are strewn with the amazing shapes of pink granite rocks carved by the wind and waves over the millennia. Builders in the UK would pay fortunes for some of this stone!

But during your camping holiday here you are likely to see plenty of this magnificent coloured stone as there are over 40 KMs of marked trails, paths and walks for mountain biking and walking.

Perros has a marina and two immaculate beaches - Trestrignel and Trestraou and just around the corner are the delightfully mysterious bays of Ploumanac'h and Trégastel.

The dramatic Côte de Granit Rose is a landscape of pale beaches dotted with colossal lumps of blushed granite. Between these towering, monolithic stacks, there are Disney style villas, with turrets, spires and painted shutters, are framed by pines and hydrangeas.

Perros and the surrounding area is a favourite haunt of the Paris set who come here for their summer holidays in the high season of July and August, so even in June or September, Perros is so quiet that you can park right next to the wide, empty beach - for free.

About Camping la Ranolien, a 4 star Parc

The parc has a fabulous beachside location which is always a bonus we think, but it is also unusual and attractive parc, with plenty facilities and things to do.

Le Ranolien, a part of the Yelloh! Village chain, is really quite stunning. Colourful hedges and trees blend into the pink granite boulders of the coastline, which allows for some highly individual pitches, as well as easy access to nearby beaches.

There is also a fantastic beauty/wellness spa which has a sauna, steam room and sunbeds, with various massage and beauty treatments available. This is on top of the mini-cinema and magnificent pool complex which features an impressive array of outdoor pools and water-slides, including a 4-lane slide and even a covered, heated pool that’s available throughout the season.

Some of the Breton farm buildings have been sympathetically converted to house, a bar, pizzeria and crêperie, and you can enjoy late night discos from mid-June to early September.
